What is covered?

Product Liability

Injury or damage may be sustained by purchasers or users of products. The injury may have its origin in defective manufacture, incorrect use of the product, inadequate warning, misleading labelling, wrong delivery, etc. the intention is to provide an indemnity against legal liabilities arising in these and similar ways.

Public Liability

Covers the insured’s legal liability to compensate third parties for personal injury and/or damage to, or loss of, property. The heading includes all public liability risks that do not call for a special type of policy.

Employers Liability

An employer is not an insurer of his staff. He is liable for their injury only when there is a breach of duty at common law or under statute. An employer has a duty to take reasonable care to ensure the safety of employees. The policy indemnities the insured in respect of his legal liability to pay damages to persons under, “a contract of service or apprenticeship with the insured”.
