WAICA Re announces the vacancy of the position of an Agent to manage the Senegal market to be based in Dakar, Senegal .

Job purpose

The Agent through the guidance of the Principal (Regional Director, Francophone) shall carry out Reinsurance services on behalf of the Principal in the Senegal market .

Job duties and responsibilities

1. The Agent shall act as a representative of the Principal in the Agreed Designated Territory by performing the following functions:

• Acceptance of business : The Agent shall inform the Principal of all businesses received and Principal may accept the businesses after further analysis. Under no circumstances shall the Agent accept business on behalf of the Principal.
• Advice : The Agent shall be expected to use their professional judgement in determining the business to forward to the Principal and shall advice the Principal on acceptance of all business received on a timely basis.
• Exclusivity : The Agent shall enjoy exclusivity in the agreed designated territory and the Principal undertakes not to engage any other agent in the Agreed Designated Territory during the life of this contract.
• Commitment not to compete : The Agent shall not operate any other business that is in competition with the Principal’s business in the Agreed Designated Territory. The Agent shall not also engage an Agent for any competitor company or transfer any orders to any competitor company during the life of this contract and 6 months after the termination of the contract. Any act of such shall be deemed a breach of contract.
• Prohibition of other Territories : The Agent shall not act on behalf of the Principal in any other territory except the Agreed Designated Area. In case of Agent having to conduct business upon the instructions of the Principal in a non-designated territory, the Agent shall strictly comply with the Principal’s guidelines as to how to progress.

2. The Agent shall promote all the products and services of the Principal in the Agreed Designated Territory.

• At least 3 years relevant experience in insurance
