Steve Odjugo is the Group Chief Technical Officer (GCTO), a position he assumed after being the Regional Director (Nigeria) with responsibility for overseeing the Nigerian market operations and oil & gas business operations for the Group.

Prior to joining WAICA Re, he was the Head of Anglophone (West Africa) at Reinsurance Solutions International, Abidjan. Before this, he was at Continental Reinsurance plc where he occupied the positions of Group Head, Technical Training & Quality Assurance, Regional Director (Anglophone West Africa) and Practice Leader, Energy & Special Risks at different times.

He is a Chartered Insurer with over three decades of professional practice experience across direct insurance underwriting, insurance/reinsurance broking and reinsurance underwriting and management.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Management  and Master of Business Administration degree in International Business. He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School Advanced Management Program (AMP 24) and Institute of Management Development (IMD) Lausanne, Switzerland’s High Impact Leadership (HIL) Program.
