Patricia is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Sierra Leone, a Chartered Secretary and Chartered Governance Professional. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute, United Kingdom and Ireland (CGIUKI). She has over 15 years’ experience as a Governance Professional and Corporate Secretary, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and corporate governance frameworks.
Patricia V. Wright was the Director of Corporate Secretarial Services at Freetown Nominees Limited, a Company primarily known for providing outsourced Corporate Secretarial and advisory Services to companies and institutions in the private and public sectors in Sierra Leone. She held this position from January 2013 to July 2024.
She has a depth of knowledge and wealth of experience on the laws and regulations relating to the governance of incorporated bodies and other organisations and international best corporate governance practices and procedures.
She was one of the drafters of the very first Sierra Leone National Code of Corporate Governance launched in 2018 by the Corporate Affair Directorate in collaboration with International Finance Corporation (IFC). She was the lead of the team of Solicitors at Messrs Wright & Co. (Solicitors) contracted to review the Companies Act, 2009 and to make recommendations on amendments in 2022.
She facilitated several training courses on Corporate Governance, Share Management and Corporate Secretarial practices for institutions in both the public and private sectors.
